Online Supervision & CONSULTATION for EFT Couples TherapISTS & NEURODIVERSE THERAPISTS IN ANY STATE

ICEEFT-Approved Supervision and Consultation for Therapists Interested in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy

I can provide supervision to other therapists who are learning or honing their skills in EFT and/or working towards EFT Certification. I can also support seasoned therapists through consultations, helping you talk through a particularly challenging case.

I offer experiential supervision and consultation sessions for therapists interested in exploring how Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) can support work with couples.

Supervision is an important and delicate relationship. Learning to do something new, especially something as complex as EFT therapy, requires a caring and balanced approach.

As learners, we all need validation, encouragement, and safety to play around with a new idea. We also need clear guidance so we can adjust when we’re getting off course. I want my supervisees to feel as safe as possible in the process and clear on their next steps, so they don’t feel confused or like they have to read between the lines.

My hope is that my supervisees gain a combination of concrete knowledge (ex. keeping track of those pesky Steps and Stages), and a felt sense of how to apply that knowledge in session (e.g. practicing a new facet of RISSSC together, so it feels natural in your sessions).

I am also a neurodivergent therapist and enjoying supervising and consulting with other therapists with ADHD, Autism or AuDHD.

There are specific learning strategies that can be helpful for those of us with neurodivergent brains, and I love creating a learning environment where my supervisees don’t have to mask.

I can support your practice through my specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy!

  • More awareness is growing around the neurodiversity in relationships.  However, many of the resources out there do not offer evidence-based approaches.  As a therapist specializing in working with STEM professionals, I am passionate about extending EFT to couples with one or more member is neurodivergent. In addition to striving to remain up to date on the literature and podcasts in this area, I’ve attended the 2-day advanced training Working with ADHD Impacted Relationships Through the EFT Lens with Dr. Alexine Thompson-De Benoit and Dr. Ben Kneubühler.

  • Before specializing with couples, I spent over a decade working with trauma survivors using EMDR.  I bring that experience, along with the advanced 4-day training on EFT Couples Therapy and Trauma with Dr. Leanne Campbell.

  • The often overlooked but oh-so-important aspect of couples therapy! If we’re not talking with our couples about sex, we’re missing a whole dimension! I’ve attended the Sex as Safe Adventure advanced 2-day training and 8-week Master Class with Dr. Zoya Simakhodskaya, PhD and Michael Moran, LCSW, Certified Sex Therapist and Sex.  I have also attended Sex and the Bonds of Attachment with George Faller, LMFT.

  • It’s difficult, tumultuous, and a looong road, but EFT can help couples heal from the attachment wound of infidelity.  I’ve attended the Infidelity and EFT Master Class with Dr. Ting Liu, PhD, LMT.

  • There is A LOT to keep track of in an EFT session. For those therapists with neurodivergent brains, this can sometimes help us stay engaged and avoid distraction, or it can sometimes feel overwhelming (Not to mention the challenges of documentation that can plague us.)  I have worked with many neurodivergent supervisees and am a an ADHDer myself, so I am happy to help support the strengths and challenges we bring to our work.

  • Providing excellent EFT therapy is a labor of love and the result of a LOT of investment in our own training. I believe therapists deserve to earn financial compensation in line with this life-changing work we provide.  his can often mean building a practice that is self-pay.  I’m a Graduate of Tiffany McLain’s Lean. In. Make. Bank. program, and a member of an ongoing Mastermind Group on this topic.
